Venue Location: VÆRK i Gamlebyen 

TEDx Fredrikstad will be held at VÆRK Færgeportgaten 78B in Gamlebyen, Fredrikstad.
Here, you’ll experience the best of Fredrikstad in a historic setting. The building, also known as "Mulvadgården" or more recently as “Teglhuset,” is home to VÆRK, a restaurant, concert hall, and cultural venue in the heart of Gamlebyen

How to Get to VÆRK.

Address: Færgeportgaten 78B in Gamlebyen, Fredrikstad.

By Car

From Oslo: Take E6 south towards Fredrikstad, then follow signs for Rv110 to Gamlebyen.

 

Main Parking:

We recommend visitors to  park just outside Gamlebyen at Kongstenhallen (Instalatøren Arena). The distance from Kongstenhallen to TEDx Fredrikstad in Gamlebyen is approximately 500 meters.

As you enter Gamlebyen, make sure to walk across Vindebroen, also known as Voldportbroen, which was originally built in 1697.

Alternative Secondary Parking: Inside Gamlebyen
There is a paid parking lot inside the walls of Gamlebyen, but capacity is limited.

By Train

Take the Vy train from Oslo S to Fredrikstad Station (about 1 hour).


Walk towards the river and take the free city ferry from the train station to Gamlebyen.


From Fredrikstad Station, take bus 8 towards Gamlebyen, or walk (about 20 min).

 

By Ferry

 

The free city ferry connects central Fredrikstad with Gamlebyen in just a few minutes.

Departures every 15 minutes from the city center.

By Bus

 

Express buses run from Oslo to Fredrikstad (approx. 1 hour 20 min).


Local bus  #8 stop near Gamlebyen.

 

 

By Bicycle or Walking

The area is walk and bike-friendly, with paths along the river leading to Gamlebyen.

If walking from downtown Fredrikstad, cross the Vesterelva River using the ferry or bridge.
